PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES 2007 - Present

Training Activities
Since 2007 PSD has continued to offer their services in training, research and consultancy activities. For more details on the training sessions available through PSD see our ‘What we do’ section.

Internees and Volunteers (outside of the volunteer programs)
A number of independent volunteers have been involved with PSD outside of the structured Easter and Summer volunteer programs. The volunteers approached PSD independently and based on their interests and availability suitable placements were organised for them.

Interns have been regularly hosted in the PSD main office in Kathmandu for varying durations, usually between 3-6 months. The internships are usually filled by individuals with an interest in the development field. The interns have ranged from overseas volunteers seeking work experience to Nepali students who undertake internships as part of their studies. Whilst working in the PSD office the interns have been involved in the day to day running of PSD. The specific roles of each intern have varied depending on the individual’s background and interests. In addition to working in the office, where possible interns have had the opportunity to visit past projects to carry out evaluations, monitor on going projects and visit future projects to assess their viability.
