PSD Nepal offers several volunteer programs in different periods of the year. This includes programs in the summer (6 weeks in June/July) and Easter time (4 weeks in April) as well as long term programs (3 to 5 months), which are arranged more flexibly regarding the timeframe.

PSD also welcomes any interested individual volunteer or volunteer group from any background or profession throughout the year. Please feel free to apply for volunteering whenever it suits your personal planning and the PSD staff will try to develop an appropriate program for you.

Why volunteer?

The mission and objective of the volunteer program is to encourage and invite International/National volunteers to work in the areas of rural community development, education and environment/nature conservation. Volunteers will make a meaningful contribution to a disadvantaged part of the world society and help to improve the living-conditions in Nepal. Furthermore, the program offers a first hand experience of life in one of the most beautiful countries of the world and the opportunity to work hand in hand with the Nepalese youth for the development of rural communities.
